This week’s update provides a comprehensive overview of the development progress across the XANA ecosystem. Here’s a detailed look at the improvements, bug fixes, and new features across our platforms:

XANA App

Key Highlights

  • Crash Optimization and Bug Fixes: The team has made significant progress in reducing crash rates and fixing bugs, particularly from the Summit testing phase. Work continues on optimizing app stability, and two iterations have been submitted to the store for approval.
  • Voice Chat Upgrades: The team upgraded the voice chat package to address issues where voice chat wasn’t working on some devices, particularly on newer phones. Work continues on fixing stereo sound issues when the voice chat is enabled.
  • New Features and Improvements: The new teleport functionality now allows users entering domes to see a list of world icons, enabling easier navigation between worlds. Other UI-related updates, such as jump animation and dash button improvements, are also in progress.
  • Landscape Onboarding and Screen Sharing: The landscape onboarding UI is completed and submitted, and the team is working on adding a screen-sharing feature to enhance user interaction.

XANA Builder

  • Generic Pop-up Implementation: The team worked on removing old toaster messages and replacing them with a more standardized generic pop-up system throughout the builder. This aims to improve the user experience by streamlining notifications.
  • DAO Integration and Syncing: The team focused on syncing updates from DAO worlds, fixing related issues, and ensuring seamless integration of user-generated content. This includes continuous communication and support for DAO members facing technical challenges.
  • Asset Standardization: After the Summit tasks, the team plans to standardize assets, which will allow users to design with consistent asset quality, enhancing the overall building experience.

XANA Browser

  • Summit Development Sync: The team focused on importing and integrating all new Summit development work from the XANA App. The goal is to keep the browser development in sync with the app, ensuring a unified user experience.
  • Bug Fixes and Feature Testing: The primary focus was on bug fixing and testing imported features, especially those related to the Summit integration. Browser development mirrors the app to maintain consistency.
  • Web3 Login Flow and Cache Clearing: The sign-up and login flow has been updated to Web3 Auth. Cache clearing functionality has been tested and implemented across all WebGL modules to provide a smoother user experience.

NFTDUEL

  • Bug Fixes and Improvements: The team addressed several bugs, including incorrect name suppression, resolution slider issues, attack VFX getting stuck during battles, and pink borders appearing on the Win screen in Japanese mode.
