Weekly Development Update

Welcome to this week’s update for the XANA ecosystem. Here’s a rundown of the progress made across our core platforms including XANA App, XANA Browser, XANA Builder, XANA Web, and XANA NFT. We are excited to share key improvements, bug fixes, and notable progress in the development of various features.

XANA App

Key Highlights

  • iOS Memory Optimization: Significant improvements were made in memory optimization, particularly in the Home scene of Neo Osaka. This included the optimization of render textures and the implementation of memory-efficient texture algorithms to reduce memory footprint.
  • Unity 6 Migration: The migration to Unity 6 continues, with progress made on resolving scripting issues, testing, and bundle creation. There were also fixes related to font rendering and Mono-scripting issues during the migration.
  • Bug Fixes and Performance Optimization:
    • Fixed an issue where avatars were falling out of the world and the screen went blank when rejoining the Breaking Down world, especially on iPhone 11.
    • Addressed a bug in which the Mini Map stopped working after exiting Free Cam mode in multiplayer.
    • Resolved an issue where Selfie Mode automatically closed when a second user joined a car in multiplayer.
  • Fusion Migration: Ongoing efforts to resolve crash fixes and bug resolutions, with a new build planned for release if unit tests are successful.

XANA Browser

Key Highlights

  • Osaka Integration: Progress continued on the Osaka integration with a focus on ensuring compatibility with Web GL. This involved solving issues related to the car functionality, shader fixes, and the addition of VTuber animation parts.
  • Multiplayer Synchronization:
    • Fixed several issues, including the Free Cam remote remaining visible after switching modes, as well as issues with the Mini Map overlapping with the chat panel after exiting the car.
    • Worked on resolving multiplayer sync problems, particularly related to reconnecting users and ensuring the continuity of gameplay.
  • Upcoming Features:
    • Research and development (R&D) for enabling emoticons in the Web GL chat version.
    • Performance and bug fixes will continue to ensure seamless gameplay, with a focus on finalizing the Osaka update next week.

XANA Builder

Key Highlights

  • Gamification Components: New elements such as Wind Fans, Gravity Tricks, and Icey & Slippery Floors have been added to the game, making it more dynamic and challenging for users.
  • 3D Asset Creation: The 3D team is working on creating realistic assets for future integration into the game, including new building components inspired by Fall Guys and Aggie Party themes.
  • Optimization and Testing: Ongoing work to improve asset management and ensure optimal performance, particularly focusing on the integration of new assets and enhancing game mechanics.

XANA Web

Key Highlights

  • Staking Cycle 57: The reward distribution for Staking Cycle 57 is on hold due to a chain migration issue. Once this is resolved, the rewards will be distributed to users.
  • Bug Fixes and Minor Features:
    • Various hotfixes were applied, and minor features were addressed.
    • Work continues to resolve outstanding bugs and improve the overall stability and user experience of the XANA Web platform.

XANA NFT

Key Highlights

  • Crypto Ninja Genesis Card Free mint: The free mint process was successfully completed, and testing is ongoing before live deployment.
  • Bug Fixes: Several important issues have been resolved, improving platform stability and user interaction.

This week has seen substantial progress across multiple XANA platforms. Key improvements in the XANA App include memory optimizations and continued work on Unity 6 migration. The XANA Browser has seen progress in the Osaka integration and multiplayer synchronization, while the XANA Builder team has been working on enhancing gamification elements. On the XANA Web platform, we continue to work on staking rewards and apply bug fixes, while the XANA NFT team has successfully completed the Crypto Ninja Genesis Card free mint and is focused on addressing user feedback.
