Select object

Let’s try placing objects within the world in XANA: Builder.

What is an object?

“Object” refers to the “parts” used to create a world in XANA:Builder.

Example: The term “object” refers to a building placed inside a red circle.


How to display an object

Display hidden objects

1. Objects that are currently not displayed are located in the category on the left. Click to expand it.

2. Try clicking on the “v” next to “Exterior,” “Interior,” and “Etc.”

3. For example, try clicking on “Architecture.” Then, objects related to architecture will be displayed.

Display many objects at once

If you want to display all categories at once

1. If you want to display all categories at the same time, double-click on “ALL”.

2. If you want to revert to the original number of displayed items, click on “ALL” again.

 

If you want to display by category

1. If you want to display objects by category, click on the category you want to display.

2. If you want to increase the number of objects displayed, double-click on the category name.

3. If you want to revert to the original number of displayed items, click on the category again.

How to place an object

If choosing from the objects displayed

1. When choosing an object, select “Select” located in the upper left corner.


2. Choose an object from the area surrounded by a red frame.

3. As an example, let’s set “Building15.” Click on “Building15” to select it. (If you want to deselect it, click again)

4. After clicking, if you move the mouse, the “Building15” object will follow the mouse.

5. You can place the object by clicking on the location where you want to place it.

If placing an object that has been searched for

1. Enter the name of the object in the “search screen” located in the upper left corner. (A partial name is fine)

2. For example, try entering “car”.

3. A list of objects containing “car” in their names will be displayed.

4. Double-clicking on “ALL” will make the list easier to view.

5. For example, let’s place a “Police car.” Click on “police car” from the list on the left.

6. By moving the mouse to the location where you want to place it and clicking, you can place the object.
