This week’s update focuses on the continued development progress across the XANA ecosystem, including XANA App, XANA Browser, XANA Builder, XANA Web, and XANA NFT. The team has worked diligently on various new features, optimizations, and bug fixes to ensure the smooth functioning of the platforms. Below is a summary of the key updates for each platform:

XANA App

Key Highlights

  • VTuber Integration: Significant progress has been made with the VTuber feature, including the integration of over 20 male and female presets. These presets have been submitted and once testing is complete, the new characters will replace the old avatars to streamline maintenance.
  • Facial Morphs & Customization: Development work on facial morphing features for VTuber avatars is progressing, with improvements being made to customize eyes, lips, and other facial features. Clothing issues have also been addressed.
  • Gifting Feature: The gifting feature is set to go live once VTuber integration is fully complete. It will allow users to gift items tied to VTuber avatars during live streaming events.
  • Live Streaming & WebView Integration: While the WebView plugin for YouTube live and pre-recorded videos has been integrated, a crash issue related to memory usage is being investigated. The team is working on optimizing the plugin to resolve this.

XANA Browser

Key Highlights

  • PMY Integration: The browser team is syncing PMY-related features with the XANA app, with minor adjustments being made based on feedback.
  • Video Streaming Challenges: The team is working to address latency and performance issues related to YouTube streaming. Alternatives like AWS and Agora are being explored to provide a better live streaming experience.
  • Build Submissions: The browser build has been submitted for testing and is currently undergoing evaluation. Once the feedback is received, further adjustments will be made.

XANA Builder

Key Highlights

  • Mini Builder Development: The development of a lighter, more compact version of the Builder is underway. This version is focused on providing a simpler, mobile-friendly version of the app. A build has been submitted to the design and QA teams for review.
  • Snapping & Zoom Functionality: The snapping feature has been improved to help users more easily place assets in the environment, particularly on mobile devices. A zoom mode has also been added, allowing users to scale objects based on camera angle.
  • Asset Standardization: The team is working on standardizing assets, reducing the number of variations and focusing on providing different material options for assets. This optimization aims to improve app performance and make asset creation more user-friendly.
  • Explorer Panel Refactoring: The explorer panel, which manages the hierarchy of assets, has been refactored to improve organization and user navigation.

XANA Web

Key Highlights

  • Staking Cycle 56: The reward distribution for Staking Cycle 56 has been completed and deployed live. Users have been notified, and the staking functionality continues to operate smoothly.
  • Upcoming Hotfixes & Features: Some hotfixes and minor features have been postponed. However, the team plans to address these tasks soon.

XANA NFT

Key Highlights

  • Crypto Ninja Genesis Card Freemint: The freemint feature for the Crypto Ninja Genesis Card has been completed and is currently under testing. It will be deployed live once the testing phase is completed.
  • Upcoming Tasks: Team will now focus on hotfixes and minor feature updates requested.
