Scale object

Let’s try changing the size of an object and placing it with XANA:Builder

Table of contents

How to change the size using the Scale option in the menu

1. Select the object you want to change the size of.

2. Click on “Scale”.

Adjust the size by expanding or shrinking along the horizontal direction (x-axis).

3-1-1. If you want to expand or shrink the object horizontally, position the cursor over the red square.

3-1-2. When you position the cursor over it, the square will change color to yellow.

3-1-3. With the color changed, drag the mouse. Moving the mouse to the right will enlarge the object while moving it to the left will shrink the object.

Try expanding or shrinking in the vertical direction (y-axis).

3-2-1. If you want to expand or shrink the object’s height, position the cursor over the lime green square.

3-2-2. When you position the cursor over it, the square will change color to yellow.

3-2-3. While the color has changed, drag the mouse. Moving the mouse upwards will enlarge the object, while moving it downwards will shrink the object.

To scale along the depth direction (z-axis):

3-3-1. If you want to expand or shrink the object’s depth, position the cursor over the blue square.

3-3-2. When you position the cursor over it, the square will change color to yellow.

3-3-3. While the color has changed, drag the mouse. Moving the mouse backward will enlarge the object, while moving it forward will shrink the object.

To directly input values for resizing along the XYZ axes:

1. Select the object you want to resize.

2. On the right side, input the desired values directly into the “Scale” for the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis to perform scaling or resizing.

To scale an object along the horizontal direction (x-axis):

Change the value of the x-axis scale. Input the scaling factor. (For example, input ‘2’ for doubling the size.)

Try scaling up or down in the vertical direction (y-axis).

Change the value of the y-axis scale. Input the scaling factor. (For example, input ‘2’ for doubling the size.)

Try scaling up or down in the depth direction (z-axis).

Change the value of the z-axis scale. Input the scaling factor. (For example, input ‘2’ for doubling the size.)
