Let’s try using the snap feature to easily align objects.
What is the Snap feature?
The Snap feature, when turned on, allows for incremental changes to be made to objects using “Move,” “Rotate,” and “Scale” functions.
The difference between Snap feature On/Off
With Snap On | Without Snap | |

Move | Moving one unit at a time | Moving 0.01 units at a time |
Rotate | Rotating by 15 degrees at a time | Rotating by 0.01 degrees at a time |
Scale | Scaling up or down by 0.2 units at a time | Scaling up or down by 0.01 units at a time |
Let’s try using the Snap feature.
Basic usage
1. The Snap feature is used in combination with ‘Move’, ‘Rotate’, and ‘Scale’.
2. Select the object you want to set using the Snap feature.
3. Click on ‘Snap’ in the menu.
Let’s try using it with Move.
1. With Snap clicked, click on Move.
2. Drag the arrow in the direction you want to move. It will move in increments of ‘1’.
Let’s try using it with Rotate.
1. With Snap clicked, click on Rotate.
2. Drag the circle in the direction you want to rotate. It will rotate in increments of ’15 degrees’.
Let’s try using it with Scale.
1. With Snap clicked, click on Scale.
2. Drag the square in the direction you want to scale. The scale factor will change in increments of ‘0.2’.
