As we continue to evolve and grow, we are excited to share an important update regarding the management and transition of XETA tokens from the C-Chain to our new native blockchain.
Key Update: Introduction of the Locker Smart Contract
To ensure a seamless transition and maintain the integrity of our token economics, we are implementing a Locker Smart Contract. This contract will securely hold all unvested XETA tokens, which were previously in a multi-sig company wallet.
Why This Step is Crucial
- Secure Holding: The Locker Smart Contract is designed to securely hold the unvested tokens, providing an additional layer of security and transparency.
- Regulated Release: This contract will only release a limited number of tokens to the Bridge Smart Contract, ensuring a controlled and stable token supply on the C-Chain.
- Maintaining Token Integrity: We are committed to maintaining the value and stability of XETA tokens. This approach helps us manage the supply effectively, especially considering the token’s presence on various exchanges.
Why We Didn’t Burn the Unvested Tokens
- Exchange Listings: Our token is already listed on several exchanges that do not yet support our new native chain.
- Token Availability for Users: To ensure that users crossing over to the C-Chain have access to XETA tokens, we opted to securely store these unvested tokens, rather than burning them.
What This Means for Token Holders
- No Immediate Action Required: As a token holder, you don’t need to take any immediate action. The transition is being managed seamlessly in the background.
- Continued Accessibility: Your tokens remain accessible and functional, just as they have been.
- Support for Transition: We will provide detailed instructions and support for any future steps required in the transition process.
